He rose from death now seated on high
Our sin washed clean with His crimson stream
Forgiven, forever! We freely proclaim!”

-
That’s the special ending to Shepherds, Rejoice!, one of the hymns from my Christmas CD. I wrote it as an attempt to place the Gospel faithfully and creatively into one simple chorus. However, it has become my battle-cry over the last two weeks! There’s not a day, or really, an hour, that goes by that this isn’t running through my head…if not on my lips. It might not be perfect, it may not really fit the song, but God has used it to encourage and embolden me through some difficult, Gospel decisions. I hope it might do the same for you.

hear it HERE

My Hymnbook: Christmas will be...

A CD with a purpose…

My Hymnbook: Christmas will be available tomorrow with a donation of any amount. You give what you can or what you want…and together, with the Body of Christ, you can make a difference in a BIG way.

You see, each dollar that you give will be going straight to a work called Heifer International. More info can be found on their website, but essentially they are a ministry that is helping to end poverty by providing animals and training for people around the world. Just think what could be accomplished!!!

$20 could purchase a flock of chickens, ducks or geese.

$60 could grab some rabbits or even some trees.

$120 could send a sheep, goat or a pig.

$500 could buy a heifer.

$850 could send a camel.

The list could go on…

But here is my prayer! Heifer International has one package called “Joy to the World” which is also one of the songs on the album. The Joy To The World collection includes two sheep, four goats, a heifer and two llamas…can you imagine what that would mean to the people on the receiving end?!

Help me fulfill the purpose of My Hymnbook: Christmas…to make much of Jesus and work with His Bride to raise money for people and ministries around the globe.

You name the price…let’s do something BIG as the Body of Christ.

SALE! Their website puts it best:

We are a group of broken, wounded, confused, and doubtful people, transformed by the gospel, and pursuing the heart of Jesus. We are daily striving to be new ethnics, on a journey together, seeking the wholeness, completion, and meaning that we have all longed for, which is revealed in Jesus and His sacrifice for sin. We are committed to the truths of the Scriptures, the heart of Jesus, and daily dying to ourselves to follow Jesus more closely. We admit our fears, our faults, and our frailties and we acknowledge that it is only through the grace of God, and for His good pleasure, that we are called His. It is this understanding that drives our worship, what we pursue in life, and our engaging of our community, region, nation, and world.

Renovation’s Mission

The mission of Renovation Church is to glorify Jesus in Atlanta, rebuilding the city holistically through the Gospel, that it would be a beautiful city, renewed spiritually, culturally, and physically.

That’s what they’re about!

When you purchase “My Hymnbook: Volume 1,” which releases right here on September 14th, you will join them on this mission. 80% of the proceeds will be going straight to Renovation Church as they gear up to launch January 16, 2010.
